  • First, Last: Questions Toward Cadell Last's Christian Atheist Subtle Body
    Dec 6 2024

As I'm sure you already know, something like subjective destitution is the existential truth and perhaps the essential grammar of growth and development. Christian Metaphysics, with it's trinitarian dialectic, has inscribed this truth at its core. Moving through 'something like' this existential truth process modifies the way that we believe. The kind of subjectivity that emerges from this process of dying to the illusions that had previously constituted it experiences a qualitative transformation in it's capacity to use and relate to the signifiers of the big Other(s). Such a subjectivity disposes itself to meaningful action within emergent network dynamics (Holy Spirit). In this discussion Cadell Last fields some questions that move toward a western-indigenous, Christian Atheist, subtle body conception. That is at least the line that has most provoked Daniel and aligned with what gathers through the Holey Cow in the context of the broader Christian Atheist project/tradition. In a similar logic to Cadell's Singularities series on his channel, the impulse behind this discussion figures something like personal testimony as a way into the theological and philosophical. Cadell is a gracious guest and shares generously of himself and his process in this discussion. This served to help produce the clarity with which i've just given a retroactive description of the discussion. So, please enjoy! [ Or don't, (as long as you enjoy your not-enjoying. (Just don't confess that).)] Find Cadell's work here https://philosophyportal.online/the-p... https://philosophyportal.online/chris...
