Very hit or miss.

Listening to this (only my second podcast) since catching up on a different comedy podcast and looking to fill the void. At this point I'm only about 25 episodes in.

Some of the riddles are interesting and make you think, a lot of them are downright awful, but it's still fun to play along with them.

The comedy is really 50/50 though. There are some genuinely funny moments, but they're few and far between. Most of the show is only worth a bit of a smile at best. When they devolve into "improv" comedy, it truly feels like they're speaking a different language. They just sling out random words and phrases and then burst out laughing at each other when what they're saying isn't really funny at all. They also keep going back to random catchphrases like "it's a living!" whenever they can't think of anything to say, which they seem to think is funny and fits any situation.

Adal isn't very funny in general, he just references a lot of pop culture while Erin and JPC carry him. It feels like those moments in TV shows where everyone's going out to have fun and someone brings their dad along and he's trying to fit in with the kids. JPC is very over the top and quite often why I stop listening after an episode or two, because he is just mentally draining to listen to. Erin is alright, but only has one voice she puts on for every character she portrays, and gets needlessly political a lot, to the tune of describing anyone who doesn't share a view of hers as "problematic." Also just in general, if your entire job is to quickly take on characters and put on accents, it would probably be worth the time to boot up a youtube video and hear that accent even once. This is coming from an Australian, and 25 episodes in Australian accents have already come up countless times, and lead me to doubt the hosts could even point to Australia on a map, let alone put on a passable accent.

Another peeve from the show is the ads which run during them. They present the ads like improv scenes (read; not very funny) but in a 45 min episode, an ad can go as long as 7-8 minutes. I know you're doing your own thing, but sue me for coming to a riddle podcast expecting the occasional riddle.

All in all, it's passable, and there definitely are some funny moments, but most of it just feels like an awareness campaign for why improv comedy isn't looked upon kindly.
