    1. Listener must adapt to the message not the message to the listener

    a. Repent, Change, Turn around for the Kingdom is at hand Mt.3:2

    2. Requires the complete attention of the listener

    a. A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand Mt.12:25; Ps.86.11

    b. No man serves two masters Mt.6:24

    c. No man putting his hand to the plow and looking back is fit for Lk.9:62

    d. Unless you forsake all you cannot be my disciple Lk.14:33

    e Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2.38

    3. Requires the listener to follow and separate from the evil generation

    ( wicked culture) Acts 2:40

    a. Come out from amongst them and be separate 2 Cor. 6:17

    4. The follower experiences true freedom to walk in the light

    a. You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free John 8:32

    b. He who the son sets free is free indeed John 8:36

    c. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. Jn 10.10

    d. if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 1 Jn 1.7

    e. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 1 John 5:11

    5. Because we have eternal life we can abide in Christ

    a. Love - Lay down our lives for our friends John 15:13

    b. Make Disciples – Go therefore and make disciples Mt.28:19
