  • Ep. 83 - A Journey of Steps w/ Logan Charron (Director)
    Aug 23 2024

Hosted by actor Lucas John Ng and comedian Josh Yang. Full ep. YouTube Link: https://youtu.be/edaRAlBCdu0

This week, we have Vancouver indie film and music video director and producer, Logan Charron, joining us to share his experience in the Vancouver independent film community. Under his Dark River Studios, Logan has directed and produced many music videos and short films on YouTube and film competitions like Vancouver's Run N Gun 48-Hour Film Competition.

His latest project, "Surface of Blood" is a short film about crime, commitment, and danger told through the ludicrous perspectives of in-competent people. Our very own Lucas John Ng acted in the short film as the mysterious figure, Hugo. "Surface of Blood" premiered at Vancouver's Rio Theatre on July 9th and both Logan and Lucas were there! Jul 11 2024

Hosted by actor Lucas John Ng and comedian Josh Yang. Full ep on YouTube: https://youtu.be/IJFI3JcfFbo

Our first guest of Series 4 is a Lebanese - Canadian rapper from Toronto called Rio D. Our co-host, Josh Yang, met Rio D at digital nomad events while living in Buenos Aires in November, 2023, and quickly connected on a shared interest in creative pursuits and the entertainment industry. Rio D was in Buenos Aires recording with local producers on new music which led to singles like "No Queens on King", and shot a music video for "Will" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqXfdld3WrQ).

In our episode, we asked Rio D his "making it" start and journey, and the urgency that comes with pursuing a rapping career later than many young rappers. His approach is to constantly drive and grind to create content and produce music with 8 unreleased singles ready to go and a consistent social media presence through his Freestyle Friday posts!
