  • Summary

  • Remember Rappin' Duke? Duh-ha, duh-ha/You never thought that Hip-Hop would take it this far - The Notorious B.I.G. - Juicy. Ya manz is back with a special episode of The Say No More Podcast. Happy 46th Birthday to the culture that made this podcast possible. On August 11th 1973, The father of Hip-Hop DJ Kool Herc aka Clive Campbell threw a Back To School Jam in the Rec Room at 1520 Sedgwick Ave. Bronx, NYC.  From there a culture was born and the world would change forever. This would spark everything from the DJ, to Breakdancing by B-Boys and B-Girls, Graffiti, The M.C. as well as the knowledge.  Check out this episode as DJ NahSla has a conversation with his 13 year old son and guest DJ Mar Mar about what this culture means to them. They get into how DJ NahSla was introduced to the culture and how it has affected everything in his life. Shouts to Chuck D with the knowledge from his book This Day in Rao & Hip-Hop History, check that out if you haven't already. This is Mar Mar's first time on a podcast and we're sure it won't be the last. Be sure to check out the recommendations via music, film or books. We hope that you enjoy this one, as always if you like what you hear subscribe and tell a friend.  Appreciate the love and support. Peace
