    On this episode of Global Victoria Tech Talks, host Varun Duggirala is joined by Daniel Visser, Founder, Managing Director and Executive Producer at Wicked Witch, an Australian independent video game development studio with over 20 years of experience. Varun and Daniel talk a ton about the video game industry - Daniel’s interest in video games from a very early age, how he started writing simple basic programmes of 'text adventures' in primary school, then moving onto make better games in high school with better graphics, learning programming by himself at a time with no internet or even CD-rom drives, doing business programming in college, and more.

    They also discuss Daniel’s incorporation of his own game development studio, hiring people from World of Warcraft, impact of mobile phones in the gaming ecosystem, game development for Nokia phones back in the day and comparing it to the industry today. The discussion then shifts to Melbourne as a hub for gaming and the ecosystem there that helped Wicked Witch tremendously over the years, and lots more.
