  • Nel tardo pomeriggio la Geo Barents è arrivata in prossimità del porto di Bari; sul ponte scoperto, dove erano ospitate le 190 persone, la vice responsabile della missione di Medici Senza Frontie Lucia Blanco Soto ha preso il microfono e annunciato che stavano per iniziare le operazioni di sbarco. Ma soprattutto ha ringraziato tutte le persone soccorse per la collaborazione e il rispetto con cui sono comportati l’uno con l’altro e con l’equipaggio. Le 190 facce che fissavano Blanco Soto avevano un’espressione molto diversa rispetto alla sera precedente, più rigide e forse consapevoli di tutte le difficoltà che attendevano a terra.
