G UNIT! Showing up authentically can be scary... terrifying even! Our society (and social media) has made it all too normal to compare ourselves to others and feel shame for the parts of us that make us different. BUT! I'm here to remind you that YOU are your superpower.

I spent a DECADE carrying a hair straightener around because I felt like I fit in more with my hair straight. I told myself that my curls were crazy, and frizzy, and unprofessional... I hid my uniqueness behind shiny sleek flattened hair for years and years. I avoided swimming and going out with friends in the rain for fear of my curls coming back. I used so much heat on my hair it started breaking all over. I spent hours in front of the mirror ironing out every wave and slight bend in my hair, because straight hair was (in the story I told myself) better.

Fast forward to 2022 and I can finally say I LOVE my hair. More than that, I LOVE MYSELF the way I was born to be! It's been a journey, don't get me wrong, but I'm grateful for the process and excited to share my hair journey with you!
