"I spent 26 years as a military spouse. I witnessed first-hand the toll war takes on veterans and their families. My husband is an Air Force veteran, who served 33 years. He is one of the lucky ones that went to war and came back to a normal life, many friends of ours did not. We lost dear friends in war, those that sustained severe injuries to include traumatic brain injuries, broken bones, and PTSD. After standing in Arlington to bury a dear friend and witnessing a loss so deep that words could never describe, I`ve always wanted to do more to give back to our veterans as they have given so much, to each and every one of us. Many veterans are forgotten about, and I feel it's our responsibility to take care of those who have given up everything to protect the United States of America. Join me in raising funds for Homes For Our Troops, a charity that provides specially adapted homes for injured veterans. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those who have served our country."
