Born in Southern California, Kathleen's earliest experience of being an expat was at the tender age of five when her family moved to Manila, Philippines. After university, Kathleen returned to the San Francisco Bay Area where she worked in product design.   Following the footsteps of her family, Kathleen and her husband made the bold move to become entrepreneurs, quitting their jobs to focus on their business. After a year, they realized that they had never met with any of their clients. This spurred them on to the adventure of a lifetime.
