    -Amtrak Service Coming to Ronkonkoma!

    Exciting news for Long Island commuters! Suffolk County Executive Edward Romaine, along with Amtrak officials, announced plans to extend Amtrak's Northeast Regional service to the Ronkonkoma station. This extension will provide direct connections to major hubs like Jamaica and Hicksville, making travel more convenient for residents. Construction is expected to begin in 2026, with service anticipated to start by 2028. This development aims to enhance transportation options and strengthen Long Island's connectivity to the broader Northeast corridor.
