  • Feed the DJ - Season 2: Ep. 8: Revisiting CREATIVE FLOW!
    Oct 8 2024

In this wholesome episode of Feed the DJ, I sit down with two incredible creatives—DJ Lóa and Ayannaunphucwitable.

DJ Lóa (Amanda Arloa) is an international DJ, singer, and music producer whose sound is a powerful fusion of her Afro-Latina roots. From house and disco to hip hop and afrobeat, she takes us on a journey through global influences from the Caribbean, Africa, Latin America, and Europe. Having performed at major festivals like SXSW and Sundance, DJ Lóa shares her passion for sound, how growing up as a multi-instrumentalist shaped her, and her work beyond music, advising startups, and curating events around the world.

Also joining the conversation is Ayannaunphucwitable, a content creator with a renewed focus on her first love: music. As she prepares to dive back into the studio in 2025, she reflects on her creative journey and the connections she's eager to make in the music industry.

Tune in for an inspiring episode full of music, creativity, and heartfelt conversation!

  • Feed the DJ - Season 2: Ep. 7: The New Lingo
    Sep 24 2024

For this episode of Feed the DJ, we’re featuring two talented and unique artists who are carving out their own lanes in the music scene.

Precursor Mentality hails from New Jersey and draws inspiration from obscure influences to create God-fearing boom-bap tracks reminiscent of the Golden Era sound. His beats and raps reflect a mindset that sets him apart from the crowd. We first connected at the Pass the Aux event at Hub17, and since then, he’s been making waves. With a recent performance in Richmond, VA, we’ll dig into his creative process, upcoming projects, and more.

We also have $kin Up, an artist from Atlanta known for his genre-blending approach that mixes contemporary and alternative hip-hop with rock. His new music, including "Tmz" (released May 24th) and "Overthinker" (dropped Sept 10th), touches on themes of mental health awareness. We’ll also talk about his journey from engineering to making his own music, his new merch drops, and his plans for a 2025 USA tour. I first met $kin Up at Digital Madhouse Boutique in Brooklyn, and it’s been exciting to follow his rise.

Get ready for an in-depth conversation with these two incredible artists about their music, journeys, and what's next!
