Here we go...An introduction to the notorious clan known as the Peaky Blinders. While all over the world we are celebrating the work of Cillian Murphy, it only felt right to dive into one of his most legendary roles as Tommy Shelby.

I decided to recap and introduce the first episode for those who may have not seen it (what are you doing, go watch it immediately). Set in 1919 Birmingham, England we start after WWI to see what the Shelby family has been up to and how they continue their reign in Small Heath.

I get into this rich story that has historical origins, the subtlety of the action, and the character development that will inevitably stand the test of time.

To say that I'm beyond thrilled to talk about Amadeus would be an understatement. Like I have mentioned before, I can't believe it has taken this long to review this literal perfect film. The obsessive nature between the two men we compare to more contemporary film dynamics (*cough Saltburn). We are talking the Director's Cut of this film since the extra 20 minutes are just a gift to us as cinefiles. I honestly don't think there is anything bad to say about this film and we talk about how a 'Best Picture' winner hasn't really come close since.

Me and Charles had such a great time finding out all the behind the scenes, the history of the real men, and get into how we love to watch films about rivalries.

I miss the dark comedy films of the 90s and 00s. Granted yes culture and humor have shifted as they do when time passes, but man there are some hidden film gems to uncover. That leads me to Saved!, probably one of the funniest and darkest comedies with just an incredible all-star cast.

Me and Mikey talk about how the script is just filled with incredible one-liners and hilarious sequences. There is nothing more perfect than an out of control evangelical Mandy Moore on this never ending crusade to save everyone and a delightfully devious Macaulay Culkin. We get into other films in this genre we love, read hilarious Letterboxd reviews, and how we love a fashion makeover montage no matter what.

In all my years I have never seen the 90s Ninja Turtle movies. From what I have heard, it's the greatest and is more than you would think. I'm here to report that I loved it and it's an instant 'himbo' classic. Me and Mikey talk his history with this film in his childhood, why I love Michelangelo, and wonder why they didn't make April more badass like in the cartoon series.

Office films. Something I wanted to explore as a theme so this is just the start. The 80s was really all about the exploration of the workplace. Oddly enough this is a rom-com that actually won Oscars. This is my first time watch and Charles' pick!
