  • Summary

  • As we move through Exodus, we transition from the first half of the book (God delivers His people), to the second half (God instructs His people). Exodus 17 and 18 are the last section in the story of God’s deliverance of His people. In these two chapters, we see the presence of Gentiles (non-Jews) and their interaction with Israel. Some will join Israel in worshipping the LORD, while others attack Israel, ignoring God’s hand on His people. In these situations, we see God protecting and teaching Israel. This has bearing on us today as God, through Christ, protects and teaches His Church, causing her to be healthy and fruitful.
