Instead, Satriani joined Sammy Hagar’s Best of All Worlds tour, which includes Michael Anthony and Jason Bonham, playing a mix of songs from Hagar's career, including 15-20 Van Halen tracks. Satriani explains that this project resonated with him because it wasn’t solely focused on Van Halen, but on Hagar’s legacy as a whole. He appreciated the tour’s celebratory vibe, adding that the fans’ reaction has been heartwarming. Though he’s mindful of not copying Eddie’s parts, Satriani has adapted some of Eddie’s techniques, blending them with his own style to honor the music while staying true to himself.
