  • Summary

  • Between 1500-1800, thousands of women across Europe were accused of being witches. Witchcraft was the catch all accusation made of anyone who created discomfort in a deeply religious and misguided society.

If you worked with medicinal herbs, stayed unmarried, refused the advances of a powerful man, or your baby died - you could be accused of witchcraft, put on trial and condemned to death - often in a cruel and horrific way.

In this episode we talk about some of the heartbreaking witch trials that occurred during this time, many of which ended up becoming mass witch executions.
