  • Please note: This title contains graphic audio which some listeners might find upsetting.

Forty years ago, on Nov. 18, 1978, 914 members of a 'utopian' society deep in the Guyana jungle, known as Jonestown, drank a lethal elixir of Flavor-Aid and cyanide. Tim Carter was in the inner circle of its charismatic leader, Jim Jones. He escaped into the jungle. This is his story.

Fascinating insight to a legendary event

I love a great true crime or documentary podcast. This was not something I would have chosen having read books and viewed documentaries on Jones Town. This however gave a different bent and one I enjoyed right up to hearing about where the survivors are now and what they are doing. An easy listening and engaging podcast.

Interesting, but a little light on detail.

While it was interesting, it didn't offer the depth of information and perspective I hoped for, perhaps because of the short length of the podcast series.

Very Interesting

This was sad but interesting to hear. The narrator's voice is not very pleasant, but doesn't speak much.
