  • Dr. Veronica Guerra moved from Mexico to the US only to find herself living in poverty. At a young age, she became pregnant and was faced with a choice. She would either continue living in the cycle of poverty she was familiar with, or she could continue to pursue her education despite her fear, failure, and the obstacles set before her. she got her GED, started a business, and was the first in her family to ever get a college degree. She later became an elementary school teacher. She later had two more children, but that didn't stop her while teaching and raising her family. she took night classes to get her master's degree and then later her doctorate degree. this woman went from being an elementary school teacher to be in the superintendent of an entire school district, she has experienced many miracles since then.
