Episode 7 - CAMPOS: Donde se cultiva la Concordancia Lingüística (Español Médico at UNC School of Medicine)

  • Summary

  • At NAMS, we are very lucky that we’re able to interview and learn from many of the key individuals who have worked to formalize Medical Spanish educational programs in a number of iterations across the United States, and we are even luckier that many of them are willing to share their life stories and teaching philosophies with us.

In this episode, we interview Dr. Marco Aleman and Dra. Ana Bermudez, the leaders of CAMPOS, or Comprehensive Advanced Medical Program of Spanish, a case-based medical Spanish program at the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Medicine. Through this conversation, we learn about their unique medical Spanish program, the case-based learning model, and the importance of CAMPOS in the UNC community.
