Assalamulaikum! We welcome you to our last episode of Ramadan 2022. We will have reoccurring episodes on Saturdays from now on Inshallah.

This episode we discuss the common dissonances of Allah using ones tongue; covering topics of backbiting and using your tongue for arguments. The etiquette of discussion and how to avoid unnecessary arguments as well as some hadiths in regards ti these topics.

At 21:10 we welcome our special guest Qari Ibrahim. Imam Huzaifa, who is the narrator throughout this podcast, is the student of Qari Ibrahim and it is with the most repec that we have him on our podcast. He is a fluent Urdu speaker and chose to speak in a language he is more comfortable with however Imam Huzaifa gives us an overview of what he has taught us after his segment ends.

I will also add the highlights of what Qari Ibrahim has taught us in this description:

1. In regard to your topic of backbiting; a hadith narrates that no human shall be able to backbite or mock somebody in a matter that causes shame for a sin for that he will not be cursed to commit that sin in his lifetime.

2. Any person who blesses you any kind of knowledge, shall it be wordy or otherworldly, you then have a responsibility to respect that person in his teaching and in life. This is frequently seen sporadic amongst the youth of our generation in regards to teachers and parents since in our society knowledge in now commonplace and so does not hold the same weight as it used to.

3. Friends and your surroundings are extremely important in your upbringing. To efficiently acquire and use knowledge, one must be sure to have people around him to further this cause. It is also bad practice to abandon those who refuse to seek knowledge and it is your responsibility to try your best to steer those people away from bad circumstances and towards the light of knowledge and Allah. Giving up on somebody is not Valid.

4. America is a majority non muslim country and so every muslim should try to represent the religion in a fashion to attract everybody towards the righteous path and disprove the wrong.

5. It is easy to pray and religious when you’re older but what matters most is when you do it and solidify the habits from a young age.
