Episode 4 - Interior Designer Alex Dauley on Diversity In Interior Design

  • Summary

  • In the final episode of season 1, I visit interior designer, television presenter and trailblazer Alex Dauley. In the 10 years since taking an interior design course at KLC School of Design, Alex has built up a portfolio of luxury residential and commercial projects from scratch, headed up the team on C4's 'The Great Home Transformation' and founded United In Design with fellow interior designer Sophie Ashby in 2020.

Flying the flag for women of colour in the design sector, Alex tells us how she's levelling the playing field to allow for a more diverse industry with greater opportunities for those from minority backgrounds. We discuss her love of modernist architecture, tips on making your home work for you and how she's stepping into a confident new era as she turns 40.
