Episode 20: Bloodhound Meets Folk Heroes on the Appalachian Trail

  • Summary

  • Hell Ya interviews documentary filmmaker, Max "Bloodhound" Armstrong. Max released a beautifully raw documentary, "One Wing in the Fire," about Trail Angels on the Appalachian Trail or "modern day folk heroes," and in particular Rob Bird. Max thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail SOBO in 2018 after working ten months in the "northernmost truck-stop" north of the arctic circle, where he first met thru-hikers. Max shares his many experiences and lessons learned as well as a story about his mother, who passed away suddenly of pancreatic cancer, which led to a lesson of living a life shared.
