Sports physiology is a fascinating field that extends beyond elite athletics to understanding chronic illness and fatigue.
In this episode, I’m joined by Jeff Cournoyer, an Exercise Physiologist at the Institute for Neuro-Immune Medicine. Jeff has extensive experience working with professional athletes and now applies his expertise to those with chronic illnesses.
Together, we explore the world of sports physiology and its relevance to conditions like chronic fatigue and autoimmune disorders. Jeff explains how various physiological systems react to exercise and stress, discussing the connection between overtraining in athletes and post-exertional malaise in patients with chronic illnesses.
Let Jeff Cournoyer provide new insights into managing and understanding the impact of exercise on chronic health conditions.
