Ep 90: SAM KRAEMER - GENERAL COUNSEL FOR COMPASS AND THE SCARY LEGAL ISSUES FOR REAL ESTATE AGENTS

  • Summary

  • Sam Kraemer is one of the greatest legal minds and thought leaders in the residential real estate industry. He is currently the head of legal for Compass in California and has held similar positions at John Aaroe & Associates, Prudential California Realty and Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. I have been fortunate in my career to have had Sam as my in-house general counsel for 20 out of the 23 years I have been in the brokerage business. He has educated me to think like an attorney and that has kept me and my clients out of trouble. The nuances in this business are limitless and Sam has a magical way of articulating complex, nuanced situations in lay-mans terms. At the end of the day he is a relentless advocate for his agents and the clients they serve on a daily basis which is an overwhelming task in the litigious state of California! If you want to know what real estate is really like you do not want to miss this episode. School is in session!
