    Surinder Koli was an Indian serial killer and rapist who murdered at least 16 children and young women between 2005 and 2006. He was known as the "Butcher of Nithari" because he committed his crimes in the Nithari village on the outskirts of Noida, India. Koli was eventually caught and sentenced to death, but his conviction was overturned in 2023. He is currently awaiting a retrial.
