Ep. 70 - Head Brewer, Brian Martin of Tradition Brewing - Special Beer Release - 7/29/21

  • Summary

  • Brian Martin, Head Brewer of Tradition Brewing in Newport News, VA joins us this week to discuss a very special local craft beer release that supports a cause very near to his heart. ‘Beer With a Vision’ is a Hazy IPA brewed with Citra and Eldorado Hops and is releasing on 7/30/21. With the purchase of this beer, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

Brian has experienced impaired vision of his own when suffering two different retina detachments, one in each eye. Though he was able to recover from these incidents, there are many who have been less fortunate, so he has made it his mission to raise $10,000 in partnership with Team With a Vision, a team of runners and supporters who raise money for the visually impaired by participating in the Boston Marathon.

We talk about Brian’s road to becoming Head Brewer at Tradition Brewing Company beginning with his initial love for craft beer which began while stationed in Germany and then discuss a few of the out-of-the-ordinary beers he brews, cans, designs, and taps all on-premise. You may be surprised by some of his creations!

Check out this episode to learn how you can support an amazing cause by drinking delicious beer.
