everyone has a story

as a child I felt alone with my story but as I get older, I'm 58 now, I've come to realise that everyone has a story. I enjoyed this podcast & it opened my eyes as to how one person can have such a huge influence in so many people's lives.

Exceptional

To Daniel..what an amazing beautiful son you are. So many people affected by one action in time. In those days, people didn't dwell on adversity, they just moved forward. There was no counselling and everyone put on a brave front and got on with their lives. It reminded me of my mother who's own son (my brother) took his life at 21. She said "well at least I know where he is now" (devout Catholics). I just thought at the time she sounded so dismissive of everything we, as a whole family, were going through. But later, she said "I never stopped worrying about him, now I can". And with that, we went back to work the very next day after the funeral and that was that.
On a lighter note, this podcast has been put together (especially the music) is to be commended, award winning. The story could easily be made into a film (if not already) which no doubt (unfortunately) would relate to many people being through just this. Congratulations.

Intergenerational impacts

An interesting and thought provoking story. Going beyond the initial kidnapping, the impacts on future generations are also discussed. Thanks to this family for their vulnerability. Blessings!

A great listen

A sad family story that gripped me but I can’t get over the fact that Lillian didn’t go looking for her children relentlessly and she kept using the excuse she was so young. I’m sorry that’s no excuse. Don’t mean to offend your mother but that’s just a mothers instinct. It would kill me not knowing.

Mixed Emotions

A compelling story of lies and deceit but I did not like Lillian’s attitude. If someone took my children I would move heaven and earth to find them.
