Ep 3. How to Harness Unapologetic Ambition

  • Summary

  • In this episode, we dive into the concept of unapologetic ambition and how to pursue your dreams fearlessly. Whether you're an entrepreneur, solopreneur, or someone with big aspirations, it's crucial to embrace your ambition without guilt or hesitation. Tune in as we discuss actionable strategies and practical advice to help you chase your dreams with confidence and determination.

For men, ambition is often celebrated. But for women, it can be seen as a four-letter word. We’re expected to aim high but not too high, to be assertive but not aggressive, to succeed but not overshadow. But I'm here to tell you that ambition is not something you should ever have to apologize for.

Being unapologetically ambitious means working towards your goals without justifying them to anyone. It’s about recognizing your worth, owning your desire for success, and refusing to settle for less.

Here’s How to Harness Unapologetic Ambition:

    1. Redefine Ambition: Stop seeing ambition as a dirty word. Ambition is self-respect, power, and the fire that drives change. Own it!
    2. Set Big Goals: Don’t hold back. Think big! Write these goals down, break them into actionable steps, and tackle them head-on with no apologies.
    3. Surround Yourself with the Right People: Keep people around who push you, challenge you, and celebrate you. Get rid of the energy vampires who want to keep you playing small.
    4. Advocate for Yourself: Don’t wait for a seat at the table—take it. Speak up, ask for what you want, and don’t take no for an answer.

    Handling Backlash:

When you start making massive shifts and showing up for yourself in a bigger way, there will be people who just don’t like it. Some of them could be random strangers, but others could be people close to you. No matter who they are, here’s what you need to do:

    • Grow Thick Skin: Criticism will come. Some will be useful, but most of it will be garbage. Filter out the negative noise and stay focused on your goals.
    • Find Your Tribe: Connect and collaborate with other ambitious women. There’s strength in numbers and in being surrounded by people who are on the same journey as you.
    • Stay True to Your Vision: Don’t get sidetracked by other people’s opinions. Your vision is yours for a reason. Keep your eyes on the prize and don’t look back.

One of the things I love most about women stepping up for themselves in a big way is the ripple effect it creates. When people see you doing the hard, uncomfortable things, you show them what’s possible for them too.

My entire coaching business was born through my personal journey of changing my business and life. Others saw my progress and reached out, wanting to make massive changes too.

Remember, you have the power to create any life or business you desire, but you have to be willing to ignore what others think and pursue what you want unapologetically.

Listen in until the end to hear a simple Action Step you can take to keep yourself motivated as you're working towards your big goals!

If today’s episode inspired you, share it with a woman you know who could use some extra encouragement and inspiration.
