Ep 176 : The Menendez Brothers

  • Summary

  • In 1989, brothers Lyle and Erik Menendez shot and killed their wealthy parents, José and Kitty Menendez, in their Beverly Hills home. At first, no one suspected them, but their wild spending after the murders raised eyebrows. Months later, Erik confessed to a therapist, and the brothers were arrested. In court, the brothers claimed they killed their parents out of fear after years of abuse, but the prosecution argued they did it for money. After a highly publicized trial, they were convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole. The case remains a pop culture phenomenon, still generating interest decades later. We want to know what YOU think... do you think the brothers deserve to be free or should stay behind bars?
