  • "Lani Hankins served in the United States Army from February 2011 to December 2016 as an Automated Logistical Specialist. She completed one combat deployment to Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom); served as a parts specialist and vehicle dispatcher for a cavalry regiment; and was a member of her brigade’s female engagement team (FET). Lani left the military following the birth of her daughter and returned to school to complete a Master’s in Business and Communication. After graduating, Lani founded Kruse Corner, where she shared her experiences in the Army and used podcasting, writing, and art to bring awareness to tough topics such as domestic violence, veteran suicide, military sexual violence, and other issues faced by service members and veterans. She is the author of four books: two memoirs and two poetry books relating to military service and domestic violence."
