Greg Page, affectionately known as the Original Yellow Wiggle, led one of the most successful Australian family entertainment brands for over 15 years, before diving into the world of charity and social enterprise. The actions of a brave group of fans and staff saved Greg’s life when he suffered a Sudden Cardiac Arrest on stage during a fundraising event in 2020. If it weren’t for the swift administration of CPR and the use of an AED, Greg would not still be with us today.
This moment of crisis would ignite a spark in Greg, who founded, “The Heart of the Nation”, later the same year. The Heart of the Nation is committed to increasing Australia's cardiac arrest survival rates through education, access to AEDs, and fostering a community where every individual is empowered to act in an emergency.
As Greg has lived such a diverse and rewarding life, today’s conversation explores several paths, including:
- How the Wiggles got started and why they were so successful
- Greg’s advice for Australian musicians looking to make it in America
- How suffering a Sudden Cardiac Arrest on stage prompted the creation of Heart of the Nation
- The World Resus Rally
- Becoming the fourth largest collector of Elvis Memorabilia and much more...
