Embedded

By: Nicholas Ford
  • Summary

  • Embedded is a podcast where I, Nic Ford, will be speaking to a new journalist once a fortnight that has covered news in a foreign country. Be it war zones, or political crises, I want to speak to the journalists that were there, to hear their perspectives and understand what really happened on the ground.

The podcast will mostly be covering foreign policy and international conflicts, however from a more localized perspective. I want to cut through the noise we hear every day in the news, to actually figure out what is going on around the world.

Nic Ford interviews Australian journalist Antony Loewenstein, who lived in East Jerusalem for four years and who has also traveled to Gaza a number of times.

Antony, who has Jewish heritage, went from being a supporter of Zionism over two decades ago to one of Israel's harshest critics. We talk about everything from his experiences in Palestine to the future of the conflict and what he thinks should happen.
