EPISODE 23 - Community Outreach

  • Summary

  • One of the important roles at the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is to make people aware of the services provided and also to receive feedback from those who have used different services. Jacqui Fernie is the Community Engagement Officer. She tells Dear Green Place about this work and how she connects with different, sometimes hard to reach communities. Jacqui also leads the EASE online course (End of Life Skills for Everyone) which aims to help professionals and interested individuals be more comfortable and confident in talking about issues around death and dying. We also hear from psychotherapist and counsellor Tracy McHugh who talks about about how the course helped her in her work.
