Bio:
Booker T. Rice Jr. was born and raised in Brighton, Colorado. He is the fourth child of Booker and Elizabeth Rice’s six children and is affectedly known as “Butchie”. Booker attended Brighten Jr. Academy. He spent his high school years at Pine Forge Academy in Pottstown, PA. After graduating from Pine Forge, he attended Oakwood University and graduated in 1974 with Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and Biblical Languages. He has a Masters of Divinity from Andrews University. Pastor BT Rice diligently serves on the following boards and has been a strong pillar standing for Social Justice throughout the St. Louis Community: • President of the St. Louis Clergy Coalition - serving over 160 ministers from various Judicatories - • Chairman of the Black Leader Round Table, representing most African American black owned businesses - • Chairman of St. Mary’s Hospital Advisory Board - • Chaplain of the (FBI) Federal Bureau of Investigation - • Chaplain of the St. Louis County Police Department - • Founder of Bridges to Care and Recovery - (Addresses the stigma of mental illness in the African American community - • Immediate Past President of “Missouri Kids First” (a statewide board) - • A member of the Metropolitan Inner Faith Partnership - • Chaplain of the Kirkwood Police Department - • Founder and Pastor of “New Horizon Christian Church” - • The proud husband of Trina Petty-Rice - (They have two adult children and two grandchildren)
