EP182 - ADHD & ER Nurses

  • Summary

  • ADHD & ER NURSES is an episode with my guest Jennifer Johnson. Jenn is a wife, mother of two, and a Registered Nurse in Ontario, Canada. With a 16-year career spent in emergency rooms across both Northern and Southern Ontario, she has witnessed firsthand the emotional rollercoaster of heartbreak, drama, bullying, and life-or-death moments. Her experiences have only been intensified by the ongoing pandemic, during which she, like so many of her colleagues, has faced unprecedented challenges in the ER. Jennifer’s debut novel, Nursing Intuition: How to Trust Your Gut, Save Your Sanity, and Survive Your Career, launching on November 29th, 2024 is her rallying cry to nurses everywhere who are struggling to maintain their love for the profession. Jenn and I talked about her own ADHD and her experiences in ER's around Canada where most staff seems to have ADHD.
