    Both The Injustice to Dou E by Guan Hanqing and Snow in Midsummer by Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig tell the story of a young Chinese widow who was accused of a murder she did not commit and after her execution many terrible things happen in the city where she lived which will only stop when her innocence is proven.
