EP 29: Intelligence is our ability to change

  • Summary

  • Welcome to my 29th episode of 'Unfiltered with Kanika on Audiopitara' : Do you practise change ? When was the last time you did something for the first time? Life is continuous learning. Everything around us is changing and evolving. If you are not changing your mind, you are not using it. Brain cells go on auto mode when you consistently do the same thing over and over again. While this has its own advantages, it also makes our brain cells lazy. This is why when we learn something new or adopt a new behavioural pattern or new discipline we face resistance from within. No doubt consistency is needed to achieve goals, but you also need to adjust and adapt and review your plans periodically, to see what's not working. Again staying in a behavioural pattern or emotional pattern may make us feel safe but it also keeps us stuck. We need to use our brain cells to recover from setbacks, bad habits and failures. Dwelling in those will only make us waste time. Everybody fails. Fail a million times but recover faster, to ensure you get the most from life, be it career, relationship or health.
