Donna Martinez, a Colorado-based photographer, is known for her striking black-and-white nature images. Her early days were spent capturing sports photography, including shots of John Elway during the Denver Broncos' training camps. Her artistic trajectory evolved into an intimate exploration of the natural world through her lens. Amidst her creative pursuits, Martinez faced and conquered a challenging battle with breast cancer.  Her NFT editions of an image titled “Blurred” on Sloika sold out in a single day. It is a signature shot that incorporates her love of slow-speed water and an intimate perspective of tangled black branches. What connected collectors to the piece was Donna’s story about creating this image on her first road trip out after fighting cancer for 6 months. The first half of that year had seemed like a blur.
