"Dodge This" (The Matrix, 1999)

  • Summary

  • For this episode of BWW, Tish dips into one of the most iconic films of all time. "The Matrix", (1999) written & directed by The Wachowski's, starring Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Ann Moss & Hugo Weaving. The film was a melting pot of different inspirations, from Chinese fight choreography to classic Japanese Anime, to Babylonian history. And as the film ages, the amount of inspirations it has given to the culture at large is just as substantial, if not more. It's an existential trip with quotable lines and iconic shots. And Tish gets into it all.
