Didaché

By: Justin Peters
  • Summary

  • Didaché is the Greek word for teaching or doctrine. All Christians profess to love Jesus but few seem to have a passion for doctrine and theology. The Didaché podcast is dedicated to teaching sound doctrine and theology for it is by this that our knowledge of God is deepened which, in turn, enables our love for God to be deepened. The Bible says, "And this I pray, that your love would abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment" (Philippians 1:9). This podcast will discuss doctrine, theology, hermeneutics, and how to apply all of these disciplines so that we can live lives obedient to God's word and for His glory. We will see how, far from being boring, there is nothing more exciting and practical for the Christian than to both know and apply sound doctrine. Most of the programs will simply be straight teaching from Justin but from time to time he will also interview special guests on the program, deal with current theological issues as they arise, and will dedicate some time to answering your questions that you send in. This podcast will not have all of the bells and whistles of some of the others, but what it lacks in sound effects we trust will be made up in content. Justin Peters is a full-time itinerant preacher dedicated to expository preaching and biblically engaging many of the prevalent false doctrines that seek to "deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting" (Romans 16:17). He has earned both a Master of Divinity (2000) and Master of Theology (2002) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and has preached in churches and conferences in 43 states and 27 countries. He and his wife, Kathy, live in Bozeman, MT, and are members of Grace Bible Church.

  • Didaché - Definitive Proof Todd White Is A Fraud
    Nov 6 2024

  • Didaché - Interview with Jim Osman and Dave Rich and Their Latest Book God Doesn't Try
    Nov 4 2024

In this compelling episode of Didaché, Justin Peters sits down with authors Jim Osman and Dave Rich to discuss their groundbreaking book God Doesn't Try. Peters facilitates an in-depth conversation about how modern evangelical Christianity often misrepresents God's nature by suggesting He "tries" to accomplish various things, inadvertently implying the possibility of failure.

The authors explain their motivation behind writing the book, breaking down key chapters that address how God doesn't try to save people, sanctify believers, speak, provide, or build His church. He does these things according to His sovereign will. Throughout the discussion, they challenge common evangelical phrases and mindsets that diminish God's sovereignty while emphasizing how understanding God's absolute sovereignty coupled with His goodness provides true comfort for believers.
