    Henstra ha producido o colaborado en numerosos discos, grabaciones de radio y televisión y producciones de ópera, bajo la dirección de directores como Gustav Leonhardt , Frans Brüggen y Jos van Veldhoven.

    Su labor docente es muy pródiga, también es invitado regularmente como miembro del jurado de diversos concursos. Henstra tiene una extensa colección de clavecines, pianos Anton Walter y clavicordios.

    Es clavecinista y organista en la Nederlandse Bachvereniging.
