Hey! Nancy here. I'm working hard on a new episode that needs a bit more time. So for this week, I'm sharing one of my favorite bonus episodes and making it available to everyone until the next episode comes out. I love this episode because it's an extra-sleepy homage to the cult true crime series Forensic Files.

In this episode, inspired by a case from 2004, a 35-year old nurse is found dead at the bottom of an icy lake. It appears to be a terrible accident, until detectives discover a strange detail lands her husband in hot water.

Dead Sleep: True Crime for Bedtime is created and narrated by award-winning journalist Nancy Miller (host of HBO Max's "I'll Be Gone in the Dark" "The Staircase" and "Love & Death" podcasts).

Insomnia be gone

Love love love this. The voice modulation, the pace, the pausing, the background sounds… well choreographed to put you to sleep in the best way. If I don’t listen to it every night I struggle getting to sleep. If I wake through the night I put it on and back to sleep I go.

Dead Boring

The reader is so painfully slow & the contents so dull & drawn out. Better suited to a cemetery audience.
