Day 318 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. Ezekiel 26-27 talks about the city of Tyre. God told Ezekiel to say that Tyre would be destroyed because it was happy when Jerusalem fell. These chapters describe how Tyre's wealth and trading made it famous but also proud. God said he would bring many nations against Tyre, and it would be like a bare rock. This shows that pride and rejoicing in others' misfortune can lead to downfall. Hebrews 12:1-13 encourages us to be strong in our faith. It's like a race where we need to get rid of anything that slows us down, especially sin. We should look to Jesus as our example, who stayed strong even when things were really hard. The passage also talks about how God disciplines us like a parent does to their child, because He loves us and wants us to learn and grow. It's a reminder to stay on the right path and be brave, even when things get tough.
