Color of Chicago

By: DeVon Chandler
  • Summary

  • A podcast highlighting black and brown people in Chicago who are crushing it in their field! Changing the narrative one interview at a time. Often black and brown people are shown and perceived in the worst light even though millions of us are doing awesome things. The goal is to share these interviews specifically with kids and young adults to show them that they can be anything they want to be. Representation matters! We'll also be able to connect them directly with a person in a specific profession that they're interested in, should they want to learn more.

This educator, model, actress, and business owner was a pleasure to speak with. Her energy is contagious and she lights up every room she walks into! I loved hearing about what she's accomplished so far but I'm even more excited about checking with her in a few years to what else she adds to her resume. I'm proud to call her a friend and I'll be cheering her on every step of the way.
