  • Colin Daniels has been around and around and around some more in the music business. Starting off his music journey as a fresh faced DJ in the very early 90's, he has operated under many guises over the years. He has co-owned a dance label in Vicious Records, was responsible for importing some of the biggest dance records via his role at Mushroom Distribution Services in the 90's and then flew the coop to the UK to help set up the Mushroom Records office in London. If you thought that wasn't enough, he also held senior A&R roles at EMI Records both in Australia and in Europe before going on to help run Inertia Records (and by extension getting involved in touring through Handsome Touring) before, more recently, being head hunted to become the MD of SXSW Sydney. He has packed so much in his journey so far and, thankfully, he has invited me to enter into his cone of silence to help me unpack it all in this short but incredibly entertaining new episode of Vinyl Tap- The Big Thinkers!
