Church of the Undead

By: Darren Marlar
  • Summary

  • Hello, Weirdos – I’m Pastor Darren – welcome to the Church of the Undead. It doesn’t matter if you are a "Weirdo-in-Christ" or just a Weirdo – everyone is welcome here at the Church of the Undead. And I use the word “undead” because here we are DEAD to sin and ALIVE in Christ! If you want to join this Weirdo congregation, just click that SUBSCRIBE or FOLLOW button – and visit us online at WeirdDarkness.com/CHURCH. Full disclosure – I might use the term “pastor” because I’ve branded this podcast as a church – but I do not have a theology degree, nor did I ever go to Bible college. I’m just a guy who gave his life to Christ in 1989 and has tried to “walk the walk” every since – and has stumbled a lot along the way – because, like everybody else, I am an imperfect, heavily-flawed human being. So please don’t take what I say as gospel; dig into God’s word yourself for confirmation, inspiration, and revelation. That being said, welcome to the Church of the Undead!

But as they prepare to slaughter the Wub for food, it reveals a surprising intelligence, speaking with them about philosophy, consciousness, and the nature of life itself. What begins as a routine acquisition turns into a thought-provoking and eerie encounter that challenges the crew's understanding of what it means to be sentient.

  • “WHAT ARE EVIL SPIRITS? WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT THEM?” #ChurchOfTheUndead
    Sep 17 2024
In today’s Weird Darkness episode - “PSYCHIATRIST SAYS DEMONIC POSSESSION IS REAL” (https://weirddarkness.tiny.us/5rhcz4pr) we covered the eating of sins and demonic possession in this episode. So this might be a good time to touch on evil spirits in general, and how they are addressed in the bible. Evil spirits are often presented as entertainment for spooky thrills in movies and TV shows. But it’s important to take them seriously. Not only are evil spirits real, but they can significantly harm you if you’re not careful. It’s vital to be aware of how evil spirits work, and to rely on God’s help to overcome their power. What does the Bible say about evil spirits? This biblical wisdom about how to deal with evil spirits can help you protect yourself and others in even the most dangerous situations.
