Sherry Snelling, CEO of the Caregiving Club, shared her expertise on caregiver health and well-being, emphasizing the importance of incorporating wellness into daily routines. Her book Me Time Monday introduces seven elements of wellness and a simple method to reset for the week in just seven minutes every Monday. She also provided insights on brain health and the benefits of nurturing "happiness hormones," along with practical strategies to enhance caregiver wellness, home design, and self-care practices.
Ellen McKay, Program Director of Yoga4Caregivers, demonstrated two stress-relief exercises: an easy breathing technique and a shoulder squeeze and drop exercise. She also introduced the Yoga4Caregivers program, which offers complimentary short and long videos tailored to the time constraints of caregivers. The program includes various practices, like chair yoga, somatic exercises, and other mindfulness techniques, catering to individual needs.
