  • Music has always been a part of CJ Warfield's life. His family consists of singers, musicians, producers, and songwriters. His parents exposed him and his siblings to genres from Gospel, Classical, Soul, R&B, Jazz, Funk, and Neo-Soul. He even got into Hip-Hop after listening to OutKast's Jazzy Bells. CJ's love for music flourished after hearing Stevie Wonder's "In The Key Of Life," leading him to love playing the piano at 15 years old. Today he is a band member of the group, Be On It, and he plays the keyboard, produces, arranges, and composes the music with other group members. He has had the pleasure of working and sharing the stage with notable artists such as PJ Morton, Jeremih, Chantae Cann, Bashiri Asad, Kenny Garmon, L. LeBron Wilson, Demetrius West, Le'Andria Johnson, and Phil Carroll. He's opened for Moonchild, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Jonathan Nelson, and Fred Hammond. His inspirations and influences are Stevie Wonder, Robert Glasper, Daniel Moore II, Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Earth Wind and Fire, Mint Condition, Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Tye Tribbett, Donald Lawrence, D'Angelo, Cory Henry, OutKast, The Beatles, Kevin Bond, Jesse Thompson, The Doobie Brothers, Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, John Legend, and countless others. In July 2016, Be On It released their first album, Rundown, and has followed up with three more… The Way We Are, Breakout, and Perspective, the EP.
