Bombing Hitler's Hometown (Author Interview with Mike Croissant).

  • Summary

  • In this episode, I had the privilege to sit down and interview Mike Croissant and talk about his book, Bombing Hitler's Hometown. Here is a brief preview of what is in the book. In April 1945 Linz was one of Germany's most vital assets, in their unheated, unpressurized B-24 Liberators & B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bombers. When anti-aircraft guns opened fire, they flew into a man-made hell of exploding shrapnel. Mike's strong connection to this story is that his Uncle First Lieutenant Ellsworth Croissant is a bombardier in the 459th Bomb group. Truly phenomenal story well-written and a true page-turner!
