  • Summary

In 1992 he won the TV show Star Search, scooping the $100,000 prize ahead of a very young Britney Spears. He took his talent to Broadway and in 2013 won a Tony Award for his portrayal of Lola in Kinky Boots. In 2018, Billy played Pray Tell in the BBC2 series Pose, a role that earned him critical acclaim and a Primetime Emmy Award. He released his memoir, Unprotected, in 2021. Billy Porter is currently starring in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club in London, alongside Marisha Wallace as Sally Bowles. Nick mixes a fiery lime margarita for Billy, while Angela whips up a delicious Greek chicken with orzo.
